Description

The MR-R1400D-2U Chassis is a 19-Inch rack mountable conversion center, capable of serving up to 14 media conversion modules. In addition to the internal power supply, a back up  supply is available as an optional extra. The power of the Rack can be supplied by the type of single power or dual power. Adopting dual power supply, the load of each power can be reduced and the life of the power would extend. When one power supply is at fault, the other one can still work independently. It would enhance the reliability of the RACK.

High-capacity rack mount platform for converter deployment
The MR-R1400D-2U is built to give buyers a practical way to centralize media conversion in one 19-inch chassis, with support for up to 14 media converters in a compact 2U form factor. This creates a cleaner rack layout, simplifies planning for system builders, and helps teams scale conversion points without adding clutter or complexity. For projects that rely on an ethernet switch core, an sfp module layout, or a broader network switch deployment, the chassis provides a stable physical base for organizing converter hardware in a controlled environment, making it easier for integrators and operators to manage growth, service access, and rack space more efficiently.

Dual power design for dependable operation

A key strength of this chassis is its dual independent hot plug power modules, supplied as standard, which support continuous operation and reduce interruption risk during maintenance or power module replacement. The load can be shared across two power supplies, helping extend service life while supporting more stable performance over time; if one module fails, the other can continue working independently. That level of redundancy is especially valuable for procurement teams and plant engineers evaluating infrastructure from industrial ethernet switch manufacturers, optical transceiver manufacturers, or top network switch manufacturers, because it aligns with the operational needs of systems that must remain available, serviceable, and predictable in day-to-day use. The result is a more dependable platform for converter-based networks where uptime and maintainability matter.

Practical fit for managed network infrastructure

With complete status LED indicators, low power loss, and good heat dissipation, the chassis is designed to support easier installation, faster inspection, and simpler maintenance in real working environments. It is well suited to rack-based communication rooms, factory networks, and distribution projects where a poe switch, transceiver, and converter equipment may need to operate alongside each other in an organized system. Buyers and resellers can use it as a practical hardware foundation when building out media conversion cabinets for industrial links, telecom rooms, or mixed copper-to-fiber deployments, where stable performance and straightforward upkeep reduce service burden. For teams specifying equipment for repeatable projects, this chassis offers a reliable housing solution that supports efficient deployment and long-term operational control.

Key Advantages

14-Slot 2U Rack Structure for Organized Integration
This 19-inch rack mount chassis provides a fixed housing for up to 14 media converter modules, which helps system builders keep converter deployments organized and easier to manage. The standard rack format supports consistent installation in equipment rooms and cabinets, while the clear slot layout makes replacement and inspection more straightforward for teams handling ethernet switch and network switch infrastructure, including setups that use sfp module and transceiver connections.

Dual Hot Plug Power Modules for Higher Operating Reliability

With dual independent hot plug power modules as standard, the chassis reduces the impact of a single power failure and supports continuous operation under normal maintenance conditions. This structure helps improve stability for users who build systems around industrial ethernet switch manufacturers, optical transceiver manufacturers, and top network switch manufacturers, because the load can be shared and the power unit can be serviced without stopping the entire rack. The result is a practical platform for installations that need dependable power support for a poe switch or related network conversion hardware.

Use Scenarios

Equipment Rooms for Network Conversion and Fiber Access
In network equipment rooms where multiple fiber and copper links must be managed in a limited cabinet space, operators need a stable chassis that can hold several conversion modules in one place. The MR-R1400D-2U serves that role by providing a 14-slot rack mount frame for media converters, making it well suited for structured deployments that connect ethernet switch systems with fiber links through sfp module and transceiver units.

Industrial Cabinets and Maintenance-Focused Installations

In industrial cabinets, plant engineers and contractors often need hardware that is easy to inspect, replace, and keep running under scheduled service work. This chassis fits that need because the dual power design and clear LED status indicators help crews identify operating conditions quickly while reducing downtime during maintenance. It is a practical enclosure for installations supplied by industrial ethernet switch manufacturers and top network switch manufacturers, especially where a reliable network switch or poe switch environment depends on stable power distribution and simple upkeep.

FAQ

Q1. What converters can I install in this rack mount chassis?
Our chassis is designed to hold up to 14 media conversion modules, so it is well-suited for a media converter deployment. It can house modules used with an ethernet switch, sfp module, or transceiver setup, depending on your network design and converter type.

Q2. Does this chassis support redundant power supply operation?
Yes, it supports single or dual power input, and dual power modules are provided as standard. With two supplies, each unit carries less load, which helps extend service life. If one supply fails, the other can continue operating independently, improving rack reliability for network teams.

Q3. How is this unit installed in a network cabinet?
The unit uses a 19-inch, 2U rack mount design, so installation is typically straightforward in standard equipment cabinets. Our rack is intended for plug-in use with compatible conversion modules, which helps panel builders and system integrators organize equipment for stable operation and easier maintenance.

Q4. What maintenance and status checks are available?
Each slot includes clear status LED indication, making visual checks practical during routine inspection. The chassis is built with low power loss and good heat dissipation, so operators can monitor function and service the rack with less downtime and simpler fault location.

Q5. Is this chassis suitable for industrial network projects?
The chassis is a practical fit for industrial networking where centralized module mounting and power management are needed. We support applications that use conversion hardware alongside products from industrial ethernet switch manufacturers, optical transceiver manufacturers, and top network switch manufacturers, when the modules are compatible with the rack.
